I already sang my praise for Chronicle actor Dane DaHann, now it is time for the encore for his co-star Mr. Michael B. Jordan (not the basketball player). There is a reason he shares his name with someone who is legendary. Jordan has been getting a lot of buzz for his starring role in the festival favorite Fruitvale Station, which has also been getting a lot of Academy Award buzz.
Jordan, whose first-ever role was a bit part on the hit HBO series “The Sopranos,” started gaining his attention with roles on high-profile television series “Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood,” “All my Children,” and “The Wire.” His first film role was in George Lucas’ easily-forgettable Red Tails. However, he gained real attention after the success of the sleeper hit Chronicle, where he played good friend with superpowers Steve Montgomery.
Fruitvale Station will be the role that catapults him to the next level. Next up for the actor with an extraordinary future is the comedy Are We Officially Dating? with Zac Efron, Miles Teller, and Imogen Poots and the drama Pretenders with Anton Yelchin, David Schwimmer, and Imogen Poots.
